Through guided hikes, environmental education, community service projects, and family-inclusive outdoor experiences, the program builds physical health, resilience, and a sense of belonging in spaces that have historically felt inaccessible to many communities of color. By centering cultural identity and collective experience, Raíces a Cumbre helps participants develop confidence, environmental stewardship, and pride in both their heritage and their connection to the natural world. Beyond outdoor activities, Raíces a Cumbre strengthens families and community networks by creating safe, welcoming spaces for shared learning and growth.
